A private house overlooking the ocean in Azores. The small urban collection of houses behind and the island and mountain as backdrop promotes the dematerialization of volumes, the maintainance of views channel and the curled slab to protect and shade, like a hand under the sky over a table, the living space and gathering rooms.

In front the sea with its humors and platitudes, deepnesses, reflexions and sky ground. (As if one could redefine the sea surface as a yoga mat, rest and fight ground for the cloud bursting, light festive ends of days, morning yawns, god's inscrutableness.

The floating and slightly ebb-and-flowing slab protects the open ground plan for living, cooking, day-dreaming. On top, as cloud houses, the rooms, in front the master suit, at the side one for the two kids rooms, compounding a front and gaze for this grand operatic scenario: The Atlantic.

At the back, tiptoeing over the others, the library 'house' volume offers a mezzanine with a work desk to function as the maestro stand. Surveying, surrounded by all the books in their ordered shelves, keeping the thoughts and words and print as instruments - the tuba of Schopenhauer, the violins of Fourier, the little metal triangle of Diderot - under the rhythm and cunning of a chaise long inscribed in the two windows connected, facing the garden and entrance, under the tilted little oculus, a remainder of the curvature of heavens and earth.
